Household pets are limited to three in number.

Must be restrained.

Cannot be kept for breeding or commercial purposes.

All shelters must have approval of the Home Improvement Committee.

No animals, livestock or poultry may be raised, bred, kept or maintained upon any property.
Kansas City
Section 14 of the Municipal Code is about animals:

14-5 Impoundment and fees related to retrieving your pet.

14-19 Disposal of manure; removal of waste. It is the owner's responsibility to remove waste from his/her pet that is deposited on another person's property.

14-20 License of dogs and cats--required.

14-28 Limitation on the number of dogs, cats and ferrets. A resident can have a total of four. (The Oaks restriction of three takes precedence.)

14-33 Dogs running at large prohibited.

Gladstone
-
Dogs must be on a leash or confined behind a fence.

Dogs must be licensed.

Owners are responsible for the noise their dogs make and can be fined for habitually barking or being a public nuisance.

Owners must remove dog feces on both public and private property.

The Gladstone Animal Shelter is open from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It is located at 3960 NE 76th St. (just north of Happy Rock Park).
